Digital Scavenger Hunt At Trout Lake
SMCYVR with Nokia Canada teaches how to use geocaching tools
VANCOUVER – July 25, 2010 – Geotagging is hot. Social Media Club Vancouver, in association with Nokia Canada, will present a Digital Scavenger Hunt at Trout Lake Park to demystify mobile computing.
“We’re taking social media outdoors,” says Guacira Naves, spokesperson for SMCYVR. “Geotagging helps get friends, family, clients and your community engage in ways that make full use of the latest tools.”
“A scavenger hunt is a fun way to teach these new capabilities. More and more of us are mobile, so we’re not going to confine ourselves to the sidewalks of the city. It’s the summer, so let’s get out in the sunshine!”
Bring your mobile phone or camera for the mobile scavenger hunt. Mobile Media Mavens from the Social Media Club Vancouver and Nokia Canada will guide participants in this family-friendly event..
There are prizes up for grabs. Admission for the event is free.
